Listed below are stewardship activities related to PARISH LIFE & COMMUNITY. If you are interested in learning more about any of these organizations, please contact the Parish Office, 777-4221.

Pastoral Council

The purpose of St. Michael's Pastoral Council is to work in conjunction with the pastor, parish ministries and organizations to discern and meet the needs of the parish while guiding the parish in building a Christ-centered community of faith. The council usually meets on the third Thursday of the month.

Altar Society

The Altar Society is an organization for all registered women of the parish. The Altar sanctuary. Members are also active in a variety of social, educational, community and spiritual endeavors throughout the year. Meetings are usually held on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

CYO

The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) is an organization designed to benefit all high school students in our parish through a variety of social, athletic, service and spiritual programs, which are usually held on Wednesday evenings. These programs operate on both the local and diocesan levels.

Harvest House

For parishioners 55 and older. Harvest House sponsors and supports many activities and events throughout the year. They usually meet the fourth Thursday of the month.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic family fraternal service organization. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people. For more information visit the web at http://mulvaneks.org/KofC/.

Library

We have a parish library in Room 109 that is open for any parishioners to use on weekends after Masses as well as anytime during the week when the Parish Office is open. We have a variety of family friendly videos, books on a variety of subjects such as family issues and parenting, saints and contemporary holy people, Church teachings, and more. Check out is self-serve and materials can be kept for at least two weeks.

Legion of Mary

This Catholic organization is devoted to spiritual works. Members solicit the help of Our Blessed Mother in developing a greater holiness and a deeper devotion to her and her Son. Sessions are held Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. in Room 101. The Junior Legion of Mary for youth meets at 4:15 p.m.

Nursery

The Nursery is open on Sunday mornings during the 11:00 am mass. It is located in Room 101 of the Parish Center. Volunteers watch and care for your young children while you spend undistracted time with God during Mass. To volunteer to help or for more information, please call the Parish Office, 777-4221.

Scouting Ministry

This ministry works to enable all Catholic Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts to earn age-appropriate religious emblems specific to their program This program makes available the Light of Christ and Parvuli Dei emblems for Cubs, and the Ad Altare Dei and the Pope Pius XII awards for Boy Scouts. Family of God and I Live My Faith emblems are available to Brownies and Girl Scouts in grades 2 through 6; Marian Medal and Spirit Alive emblems are for students in High School. Adults are also recognized for their continued service to Catholic Scouting in the Region and in the Diocese.

Cub Scout Pack 823

Anything with Pack or Troop 823 from St. Michael's is now obsolete. They have folded and the boys will be joining with Troop 888 (Marilyn Berry and Darrin Walker are leaders with that Pack/Troop, which is why they have some of their bigger functions here).
