Dear Parent,

I would like to welcome you to the 2007 - 2008 school year. Although your child is the
one enrolled at Mulvane Middle School, you are a valued part of this school and your child's learning. In order to guarantee your child, and all the students in my classroom, the excellent learning opportunities
they deserve, I have established the following classroom rules and consequences. I find them fair and intend to
enforce them.

CLASSROOM RULES

1. Treat others, our school and their property with respect
2. Respect all faculty, adults and visitors to our building
3. Use appropriate behavior at all times
4. Start every assignment with your name, the subject/assignment and today's date
5. Take time to maintain a learning environment

CONSEQUENCES

1. Level One ...............................Oral warning
2. Level Two...............................Off of computer to write definitions from textbook
3. Level Three..............................Parent signs a discipline sheet
4. Level Four...............................Student receives a mark on the conduct card

Again, I welcome you to our school and encourage any questions and/or comments you may have
throughout the 2007 - 2008 Mulvane school year. I feel that the successful education of students requires
cooperation and a clear means of communication between parents and teachers.
